Daily Maintenance:
• Nozzle Checks: Perform a printhead test print before starting your workday and right before shutting down.
• Print Head Cleaning: Gently wipe the print head surface using a lint-free cloth and manufacturer-approved cleaning solution.
• Cap Station Inspection: Ensure the print heads seal tightly with the capping station when parked.
Weekly Maintenance:
• Lubrication: Apply specialized grease or light oil to the guide rails and leadscrews to prevent friction and wear.
• Waste Ink Management: Check and empty the waste ink bottle so it does not overflow.
• UV Lamp Cleaning: Gently wipe the UV lamps to clear them of dust and stray ink, ensuring proper ink curing.
Monthly & Long-Term Care:
• Check Filters: Clean or replace intake/exhaust air filters to reduce internal dust.
• Coolant System: If your lamp uses a water-cooling system, drain and replace the cooling fluid (pure water or automotive coolant) every 3 to 6 months.
• Software: Check for firmware or RIP software updates periodically.
Environment and Static Control:
UV printers are highly sensitive to their surroundings. Keep your print room controlled:
• Temperature: 20°C – 30°C (68°F – 86°F)
• Humidity: 40% to 60% relative humidity (to prevent static electricity issues and nozzle clogging).
