Daily Maintenance:
• Nozzle Check: Print a nozzle test page every day before you begin printing to check for broken or missing lines.
• Head Cleaning: Run a standard printhead cleaning cycle through your Procolored Software if the nozzle check reveals clogged nozzles.
• Power On: Keep the printer powered on. This allows the machine to periodically circulate the white ink, preventing the titanium dioxide pigment from settling and hardening in the lines.
Weekly Maintenance:
• Clean the Printhead Bottom: Move the printhead carriage to the middle and gently wipe away solidified ink residue using a lint-free swab lightly moistened with Procolored Cleaning Solution.
• Clean the Capping Station & Wiper: Wipe the rubber capping pad and the wiper blade to remove excess waste ink. A dirty wiper will smear ink and damage the printhead nozzles.
• Encoder & Raster Strip: Gently wipe the encoder strip (the transparent strip) with a dust-free cloth lightly dipped in alcohol to ensure accurate X-axis positioning.
Periodic Maintenance:
• White Ink Agitation: White ink is heavy and prone to precipitation. Every 30 days, empty the white ink bottle, add a little distilled water to clean out the bottom sediment, and rinse thoroughly before refilling it with fresh ink.
• Waste Ink Bottle: Check the waste ink bottle every 3 to 7 days and empty it before it overflows.
• Rail Lubrication: Add a small amount of lubricating grease to the guide rails every 30 days to ensure the carriage moves smoothly.
