Jay's Printers Recommended Maintenance

Essential Daily and Weekly Maintenance:

• Printhead Cleaning: Keep your printheads clear by regularly flushing the system with cleaning solution to prevent clogs and dried residue.

• Rail and Guideway Lubrication: Wipe down the X-rail and bed guideways to remove dust and ink residue. Apply a few drops of oil to the bearings to prevent premature wear.

• Cap Station Care: Apply capping solution regularly to keep printheads moist while the machine is idle.

Machine Storage & Extended Shutdowns:

• Over Short Periods: It is recommended to leave the printer turned on for weekend or short-term idle periods.

• For Long-Term Storage (1+ months): If you are shutting off power or storing the machine for a longer period, extract the print head fluids and protect the system by filling the lines with printhead protectant liquid.
