Refinecolor Recommended Maintenance

 Daily Maintenance:

• Nozzle Check & Print: Perform a test print every day. Printing a simple image or a nozzle check keeps the ink flowing.

• Clean the Wiper & Capping Station: Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with UV cleaning solution to gently wipe off excess ink buildup on the wiper and the capping station sponge.

• White Ink Shake: If your model uses white ink, gently shake the white ink bottles (or cartridge/bags) to prevent the heavy titanium-dioxide particles from settling and causing blockages.

Weekly Cleaning:

• Clean the Printhead Surface: Move the printhead to the center, place a lint-free cloth under the head to catch drips, and lightly wipe the nozzle plate.

• Clean the UV Lamps: Gently wipe the bottom of the UV LED lamps with a lint-free cloth and a little rubbing alcohol to remove dust or stray cured ink.

• Lubricate Guide Rails: Apply a small amount of machine lubricant to the carriage guide rails to ensure smooth movement.

Idle & Long-Term Storage:

• Short-Term (Up to 3 Days): Leave the printer powered ON. The automated maintenance system will run periodically (usually every 4 hours) to keep the nozzles moist.

• Weekend Shutdown: Do not just turn off the machine at the wall. Use the software's automated shutdown feature so the carriage docks properly onto the capping station.

• Long-Term Storage (Over 3 Days): Manually push the carriage to the cap top, fill the capping station with head-protection liquid (moisturizing fluid), and ensure the head is locked in place. This protects the nozzles for up to 2 weeks without power.
