Daily Maintenance:
• Nozzle Checks: Perform a test print to check for any clogged or misfiring nozzles.
• Sensor Cleaning: Use a lint-free cloth to gently remove dust or debris from the capping station and carriage home sensors.
• General Wiping: Wipe down the capping station and the edges of the print heads to remove ink residue before it hardens.
Weekly Maintenance:
• Print Head Cleaning: Soak a swab in LogoJET UV Maintenance Flush and carefully wipe the front, sides, and back of the print heads to remove any partially cured ink buildup.
• UV Lamps: Use a fresh swab and alcohol to wipe down the UV lamps, flipping the swab halfway through so you do not drag residue across the glass.
• Rail Lubrication: Apply a few drops of lubricating oil to the carriage rail. Move the carriage back and forth via the control panel to distribute the oil evenly.
• Exercise the Printer: Print at least once a week to keep the ink flowing and prevent clogs.
Long-Term Consumables:
• Cap Tops: Replace every 6 months, as the rubber gaskets lose elasticity and make cleanings less effective.
• Dampers: Replace every 12 months to maintain optimal ink flow.
• Fluids: Cleaning solutions and oils generally maintain potency for about 1 to 2 years.
